ABOUT

Greetings! 大家好!

I am Mumu Li (李沐沐) from Suzhou (苏州市), a garden city in Jiangsu province of eastern China (中国江苏省苏州市). My hometown is very near Shanghai (上海市) – it’s hardly a 30-minute ride by the high-speed trains (高铁) from Suzhou to Shanghai.

Well, I have prepared a set of Chinese courses for you. The course is divided into 10 levels – from Level 1 to Level 10. Each level will have about 10 to 20 lessons in the form of pdf files- nearly 150 lessons, including Chinese idioms, and poems.

There will be tons of lessons to improve your reading skills.

What’s more, I’ll often use my hometown, Suzhou, as a reference to explain you Chinese — the real and practical lessons that are used in daily life. For example, if I tell you that Suzhou has a railway station named Suzhou Railway Station (Suzhou Zhan, 苏州站), you can easily understand the names of so many railway stations in China.

Well, Zhan (站) means station. Just add the name of the city in the prefix and you can understand the name of the railway station in your city. For example:

  • Shanghai Railway Station (Shanghai Zhan, 上海站)

Of course, there are more variations of the names of train and bus stations. You will understand them as you read through the lessons.

Btw, how many characters you can read on this page? 🙂 The characters on this page are very common in daily Chinese conversation. The character 沐 is not that common, however, it’s good to know (after all, it’s my name :D).

沐 (mù) – to wash, to clean

See you online!
