Li Bai (699-762 AD) was a poet during the reign of China’s Tang Dynasty (唐朝) that ruled China from 618 to 907. He wrote numerous poems during his lifetime. In particular, two of his poems are certainly not to give a miss: Thoughts in a quiet night (静夜思), and Gift to Wang Lun (赠汪伦). There is hardly anyone in China who doesn’t know Li Bai.
